We found a way to turn the inconvenience of public transport delays into an opportunity to read, leveraging Melbourne’s vibrant literary scene to encourage people to get off their phones and lose themselves in fiction, using the ideal form for short travel: the short story. Short Stories for Short Delays is an initiative that gives passengers new, local short stories for PTV's short delays. Starring well known authors and artists alongside unpublished winners of a state-wide competition, with stories' length varying to match corresponding delay times.
